Brock Chisholm, Owner

Growing up in northwest Pennsylvania, Brock spent as much time as he could outdoors, developing an appreciation for nature and plants at an early age. As an adult, that passion brought him to Wilmington, where he earned his Associate’s degree in Horticulture and began his career with the Extension Service at the New Hanover County Arboretum.

Today, Brock is the proud owner of Flora and brings years of experience and a genuine passion for horticulture to his work. He is a licensed Irrigation Contractor, Landscape Contractor, and Pesticide Applicator, with a strong focus on using sound horticultural practices to create healthy, beautiful landscapes.

Brock enjoys working directly with clients to understand their vision and help their landscapes reach their full potential. His love for the environment is at the heart of what he does, and he believes that great landscapes should not only be beautiful but also thoughtfully designed and cared for with the surrounding environment in mind.

As the owner of Flora, Brock is proud of his team and relationships that make the company what it is today. He looks forward to getting to know you, working alongside you, and helping bring your landscape to life.

Neal Taylor, Landscape Architect

Neal has been designing landscapes throughout southeastern North Carolina since 1994. A graduate of North Carolina State University’s College of Design with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Neal enjoys working closely with clients to understand their vision and turn their ideas into beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.

With a belief in “the right plant in the right place,” Neal takes a thoughtful approach to landscape design—creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also work with the natural environment and help reduce long-term maintenance.

Neal has been a Registered Landscape Contractor since 2003 and is a Certified Rain Garden Designer and licensed North Carolina Landscape Architect. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on all kinds of projects, from historic gardens to coastal retreats and everything in between.

No matter the project, Neal enjoys finding creative, sustainable solutions that fit each client’s needs and the unique character of their property. He looks forward to getting to know you, learning about your goals, and bringing fresh ideas to your next landscape project.

Keana Graham, Install Division Coordinator

A Wilmington native, Keana has always had a strong connection to her community, family, friends, and the environment around her. She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, combining her passion for the outdoors with her love for creativity and design.

When she’s not working, Keana enjoys spending time outdoors, beautifying her balcony garden, kayaking, attending concerts, and getting lost in a good book.

Keana is passionate about helping create beautiful outdoor spaces and looks forward to getting to know each client, learning about their vision, and helping bring their landscape ideas to life. She’s excited to connect with you and be part of your next project!

Doug Weeman, Installation Division Manager

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Resource Economics before beginning his career in landscape management. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Doug has developed a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for what he does. His dedication to landscape management is rooted in his love of plants and the many ways they can transform an outdoor space.

In March 2019, Doug made the move to our area to be closer to family and enjoy the beautiful coastal lifestyle. When he’s not working, you can often find him taking advantage of one of his favorite pastimes—ocean fishing.

Doug brings years of experience, a love for plants, and a true passion for the landscape industry to the Flora team.

Charlie Phillips, Small Projects Manager

Charlie is a North Carolina native who grew up in Jacksonville before making Wilmington his home in 2001. His passion for plants and the outdoors led him to Cape Fear Community College, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Landscape Gardening.

Before joining the Flora team, Charlie spent several years at the New Hanover County Arboretum, where he had the opportunity to grow his knowledge and hone his craft. His love of plants started at an early age, inspired by his grandfather, who worked as a Cooperative Extension Agent in North Carolina.

When he’s not working, Charlie enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities the Wilmington area has to offer with his daughter, Chloe, and son, Bennett. Charlie brings his experience, knowledge, and genuine love for plants to the Flora team and looks forward to helping clients create and care for beautiful outdoor spaces.

Adrian Velasquez-Domingo, Enhancement Project Manager

After graduating from Pender High School in 2017, Adrian joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 2017–2023. His time in the Marines taught him the importance of being dependable, accountable, responsible, and ready to take on whatever comes his way. Those experiences helped shape the person and professional he is today.

Adrian is grateful for the people who have supported him throughout his journey, especially his wife, daughter, parents, his Flora family, and God. He is excited to bring his experience, dedication, and positive attitude to his role as a Project Manager at Flora.

Most importantly, Adrian looks forward to getting to know our clients, building great relationships, and helping bring their landscape projects to life. He’s excited to be part of the Flora team and looks forward to working with you!

Michael Juskin, Irrigation and Lighting Technican

Originally from Northern New Jersey, Michael attended Seton Hall University before serving in the U.S. Navy as a submariner. After moving to Coastal North Carolina, he met his wife, Melissa, and started a family. He’s a proud dad to two sons, Nicholas and Reece, and enjoys spending time by the water with his family and two yellow labs, Abby and Emma.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the irrigation industry, Michael brings a passion for problem-solving and attention to detail to everything he does. He enjoys hands-on projects and takes pride in the finishing touches that make a landscape come together, from fine-tuned irrigation systems to landscape lighting. Michael looks forward to bringing his experience and dedication to every Flora client and project.

Claudia Flores, Nursery Manager

Claudia began her career in 2006 as a nursery production assistant at a container plant nursery, where she helped manage and supervise the growth of more than 100 varieties of plant material. Her experience in the nursery industry eventually led her into customer service, where she worked with both retail and wholesale customers to help them select the right plants for their needs.

Today, Claudia brings that hands-on experience and extensive plant knowledge to the Flora team. Her attention to detail and thoughtful approach to plant selection help ensure that our clients receive high-quality, healthy plants for every project.

When she’s not working, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of the time they have together. She loves being able to combine her passion for plants with helping create beautiful landscapes for our clients.

Dee Sanders, Maintenance Division Manager

Dee began his horticultural career after graduating from Lake City Community College in 1989 with a degree in Landscape Technology. His career has taken him from Florida to California, where he continued to grow his knowledge and experience in the landscape industry.

After years away, Dee recently made his way back to the Southeast to be closer to family and is excited to continue his career with the Flora team.

When he’s not working, Dee enjoys listening to music, spending time at the beach, boogie boarding, and, most importantly, making memories with his family. He brings a wealth of experience, a love for the outdoors, and an easygoing spirit to the team and looks forward to working with our clients.

Breanna Smith, Maintenance Division Coordinator

Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Breanna made her way to Wilmington to study Film and Video Production at Cape Fear Community College. After completing her studies, she took her talents to New York City,  where she worked in restaurant management.

After a few years of city life, Breanna decided it was time to come back home to Wilmington and be closer to her family. She’s been apart of the Flora team since 2019 and truly enjoys getting to know our clients and helping make their experience with Flora a positive one.

When she’s not working, Breanna loves spending time with friends, cooking delicious meals, and enjoying the beach with her dog, Dolly Parton.

Matthew Gniadek, Maintenance Field Manager

Born in Western Massachusetts and raised right here in Wilmington, Matt has always had a connection to the area and a love for working outdoors. In 1989, he graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College with an Associate’s degree in Golf Course Management and began his career as a Golf Course Superintendent in Pawleys Island, SC.

His career eventually took him from the Carolina coast to Southern California and then to Las Vegas, where he continued to grow his experience in the industry. After years of exploring new places and opportunities, Matt has made his way back home to Wilmington and is excited to be part of the Flora team.

When he’s not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their fun-loving family. He’s happiest when surrounded by good food, plenty of laughs, and even better company.

Matt brings years of experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for the outdoors to the Flora team. He looks forward to meeting our clients and creating plenty of great experiences along the way!

Eric Minter, Account Manager

With more than 20 years of experience in the landscape and horticulture industry, Eric joined the Flora team in 2017. Starting as a Crew Leader, his knowledge, leadership, and customer-focused approach have helped him grow into an important part of the Flora team.

When he’s not working, Eric enjoys hunting, trying out local restaurants, and spending time with his family.

Eric is passionate about providing great service and using his experience to help our clients achieve their landscape goals. He looks forward to working with you!
